Value-added tax (VAT) and customs duty exemptions on the import of raw materials and materials, machinery, technological equipment, and installations for the purpose of production and service provision (performance of works) have entered into force for residents of industrial parks and industrial districts located in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that are residents of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and have obtained an Investment Promotion Certificate.
Pursuant to the Decision of the Board of the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated January 12, 2026, the procedure for issuing a supporting document for the import of raw materials and materials for production, scientific research, and experimental design work by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that are residents of industrial parks; machinery, technological equipment, installations, as well as raw materials and materials for production by residents of industrial districts; and raw materials and materials for production and service provision (performance of works) by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that are residents of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and have obtained an Investment Promotion Certificate has been approved.
Based on this supporting document, entrepreneurs will be able to benefit from tax and customs incentives for imported raw materials and materials, machinery, technological equipment, and installations.
The purpose of the Decision is to increase the production and service potential in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, improve the investment environment, and support the development of local entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurs may apply to the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in accordance with the established procedure to obtain the supporting document.
