On October 17, a meeting with entrepreneurs was held in the city of Sharur, jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Sharur District Executive Authority. The event was attended by representatives of government institutions, entrepreneurs, farmers, and members of the banking sector.
Before the event, participants visited the monument of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in his honor.
The event began with the performance of the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence to honor the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
In his opening speech, Head of the Sharur District Executive Authority Kamal Jafarov spoke about the current state of the district’s socio-economic development. He noted that within the framework of the “State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023–2027,” extensive improvement and construction works have been carried out in the district, and significant achievements have been made particularly in the field of agriculture.
The Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Kazim Huseynaliyev, delivered a speech on “General Economic Outlook and Prospects.” He emphasized that the main elements of economic development today are ensuring sustainability, implementing innovations, and increasing competitiveness. The Minister stressed that the economy of the autonomous republic is successfully developing in various sectors, and entrepreneurs play a vital role in maintaining this progress. Kazim Huseynaliyev called on entrepreneurs to make effective use of the region’s economic potential and the state’s support tools, to take an active part in implementing new investment projects, and to expand their existing activities. He also underlined that the main objective ahead is to accelerate the socio-economic development of the region, which can be achieved through close cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Following that, Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, Vusal Novruzov, delivered a presentation on “Available Financing Opportunities.” He spoke about concessional loans offered to entrepreneurs, state support mechanisms, and new initiatives being implemented.
Entrepreneur Yusif Guliyev, who also spoke at the event, shared information about his business activities, noting that he had benefited from concessional financial resources provided by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund. He expressed his gratitude to the state for creating favorable conditions for businesspeople.
During the presentation session, representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund made detailed presentations on investment projects aligned with the region’s potential, export opportunities, support mechanisms, and the procedures for obtaining concessional loans.
At the end of the event, during the “Open Microphone” discussion, entrepreneurs and participants directly addressed questions to government representatives and shared their opinions. The representatives of the government institutions answered the questions and provided relevant explanations.
