The Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Kazim Huseynaliyev, met with a delegation led by Mariyana Kuyundzic, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the EU delegation was informed about the economic situation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the investment climate, and its industrial, agricultural, transport, and energy potential. It was noted that starting from January 1, 2026, tax, customs, and social insurance incentives have been introduced in the autonomous republic, and it was emphasized that investors from EU member states can benefit from these opportunities. Confidence was expressed that, as a result of the measures taken, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will play an important role in cargo transportation between Europe and Asia.
Mariyana Kuyundzic stated that her visit to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic left a positive impression and underlined the importance of informing business representatives from EU member states about the business opportunities available in the region. Information was also provided on projects implemented within the framework of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
The meeting concluded with discussions on the priorities for future cooperation and an exchange of views on relevant areas.
