On February 4, the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Ceyhun Jalilov, visited Cahan Industrial Complex MMC, where he familiarized himself with the activities of the enterprises and their prospective development plans.
Vugar Abbasov, Founder of Cahan Holding and Chairman of the Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation, provided detailed information on the enterprises’ current production capacity, modern technological equipment in use, manufactured products, implemented marketing activities, and export opportunities to foreign markets.
Authorized Representative Ceyhun Jalilov stated that as a result of the consistent and purposeful economic policy implemented under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, a qualitatively new stage has begun in the development of entrepreneurship in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Ceyhun Jalilov emphasized that strengthening public–private sector partnership, continuously improving the business and investment environment, and creating a more favorable legal framework for entrepreneurs and investors are among the main priorities of this policy. It was noted that in recent years, expanding access to financial resources for business entities, applying concessional loan mechanisms, and providing state support for production- and export-oriented projects have served to more effectively realize the region’s economic potential.
The entry into force of tax, customs, and social insurance incentives in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic as of January 1, 2026, is one of the most important components of these support mechanisms. These incentives include exemptions on profit (income), property, land, VAT (in relation to import operations of residents of industrial and technology parks, industrial zones, and holders of investment promotion certificates), as well as simplified tax incentives. This decision represents another clear example of the attention and care shown by the Head of State toward the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, creating broad opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand their businesses, implement new projects, and make a greater contribution to the region’s economic development.
The Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Kazim Huseynaliyev, noted that Cahan Industrial Complex MMC, which places special emphasis on the application of innovative technologies, contributes to the development of the autonomous republic’s economy through its successful operations.
It was also stated that during the previous period, a total of 16.5 million manats in concessional loans were allocated by the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurship Development Fund to finance projects of enterprises included in the Cahan Holding Commercial Companies Union.
Vugar Abbasov noted that the allocated loan funds were directed toward the implementation of projects covering the industrial, construction, and manufacturing sectors. As a result of these funds, 310 jobs have been created. With the entry into force of tax, customs, and social insurance incentives, as well as the continued state support for entrepreneurship, it is planned to create approximately 340 additional new jobs during 2026.
In conclusion, Ceyhun Jalilov stated that entrepreneurs operating in the autonomous republic are supported through various instruments and that these support measures will continue in the future. He wished success to Cahan Group of Companies MMC in its future activities.
