The information circulated today by several media outlets regarding the “appointment of former Minister of Economy Tapdiq Aliyev as Director of the Nakhchivan Certification and Metrology Center public legal entity” does not reflect the truth.
According to the Decree dated March 6, 2026, issued by the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, along with its subordinate public legal entity, the “Certification and Metrology Center,” has been abolished. Therefore, it is not possible to make any appointments to positions within an entity that has been dissolved.
In accordance with the Decree, a relevant commission has been established within the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to carry out the liquidation process, and Deputy Minister of Economy Tapdiq Aliyev has been appointed as the chairman of this commission.
In this regard, the information circulated about the aforementioned “appointment” is unfounded and is officially refuted.
