On December 11, a meeting was held with entrepreneurs operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, attended by the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Jeyhun Jalilov.
The meeting began with a presentation on the measures implemented to promote the development of entrepreneurship in the autonomous republic. The presentation provided information on state support mechanisms and preferential incentive packages.
In his address, Jeyhun Jalilov noted that, under the attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the implementation of important projects aimed at ensuring sustainable economic development in Nakhchivan has begun. He emphasized that starting from 2026, new tax, customs, and social incentives will be applied for entrepreneurs operating in Nakhchivan for a period of 10 years. These incentives will create additional advantages for entrepreneurs, contribute significantly to the creation of new jobs, and expand production and export opportunities.
Analyzing the macroeconomic indicators for the first 11 months of 2025, the authorized representative stated that GDP production increased by 3.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. During the same period, industrial output exceeded the 2024 level by more than 14.1 percent.
Jeyhun Jalilov also highlighted that the Zangezur Corridor has already become a reality and that the construction of railway infrastructure has begun. He noted that this will stimulate tourism and other sectors, creating new investment opportunities for businesspeople. He spoke about the work carried out within the framework of state programs and other projects in the autonomous republic and wished entrepreneurs success in their activities.
Speaking at the meeting, Vugar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and Chairman of the Board of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, addressed existing challenges in the field of entrepreneurship, upcoming tasks, and expected outcomes.
During the meeting, entrepreneurs’ proposals were heard, and measures to address existing issues were discussed.
