A meeting was held between Kazim Huseynaliyev, Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Sakina Babayeva, Chairperson of the Board of the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Association Public Union, together with women entrepreneurs.
During the meeting, Sakina Babayeva spoke about the importance of developing women’s entrepreneurship in the modern era, the activities of the Association, the objectives behind its establishment, as well as ongoing and planned projects.
Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Kazim Huseynaliyev noted that the country’s leadership attaches great importance to and provides strong support for the development of entrepreneurship throughout Azerbaijan, including in the autonomous republic. He stated that various forms of support have been provided to entrepreneurs through different support mechanisms in recent years and that measures aimed at expanding entrepreneurial activity will continue.
The Minister emphasized the importance of developing women’s entrepreneurship in increasing economic activity, creating new jobs and making more effective use of local economic potential. He also provided information on the opportunities created to support the business initiatives of women entrepreneurs and enable them to benefit from financial and other government support mechanisms.
The meeting included an exchange of views on promoting women’s entrepreneurship, supporting new business initiatives and prospects for future cooperation.
